Here are a selection of websites I have built over the last few years. If you have any questions, or would like to request a quote, please contact me.
This site was built from scratch in Wordpress for a clothing swap charity in Canada. The site includes dynamically generated content from Flickr, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook, ensuring that every visit delivers new and fresh content to engage with readers. The site also integrates with MailChimp for mailing list and volunteer signups. Visit the site.
This site is being built in collaboration with the team at InterRail. It sells Italian train travel passes with special discounts to the North American market. Using existing PSD designs, I am creating custom CSS and Python / Django templates to precisely match the design and ensure responsiveness and crisp, clean graphics and fonts at all screen resolutions. The site has an extensive member section with PDF generation and custom forms. Visit the site under development.
This Wordpress-based site, which features videos and original articles looking at the impact of technology on society, has been heavily modified from an existing theme in PHP and features a rotating image marquee, custom media type icons for different types of post, and special category navigation pictograms. It also includes full social integration, subscribe-by-email functionality, and full Google Analytics integration and goals, allowing article authors to track reach on different platforms. Visit the site.
This site was built for a writers' group in Montreal, Canada. It is built using BuddyPress, and has been customized to add a private area where members can share works in progress, share useful resources, and give each other constructive feedback. Members receive e-mail notifications of all posts and can post their work to a public portfolio area for the group. Visit the public part of the site.
This bilingual website, based on Wordpress, was created for a community event. Details of the event were published online through this site, and forms were coded in PHP and HTML so that members of the public could submit their creative contributions and stories for the event in words, music or pictures. Visit an archived copy of the site.
This site serves as the homepage for WeReddit, the podcast for reddit.com. It includes media plugins to optimize and embed MP3 handling, custom feeds for iTunes, SEO optimizations to help discover the podcast more easily, and Feedburner subscription links.
This existing event site (built in HTML & CSS) from the previous year was updated with a new seasonal theme as the event fell upon Halloween, and the speaker schedule was updated after the event to feature audio downloads, slides and photographs from the day.
